Heat Bank Haliburton County offers intake & support for heating & hydro emergencies, hydro affordability programs and information on energy conservation. All client services are provided in a respectful, dignified and accessible format. Intake assessments are completed in order to establish home heating needs, identify resources available to the household, offer appropriate referrals and information and build a personalized plan.
Confidentiality is assured by using only trained and empathetic staff who are committed to helping households move from crisis towards stabilization. The depth of the assessment is on a sliding scale depending on the level of financial assistance the household requires. We work with many households that are struggling with high hydro bills or who heat with oil or propane and are struggling to make ends meet. We are able to assist these households in a number of different ways:

We are committed to being fair, consistent and transparent in our eligibility screening and application process.
